Flint and thatch... sparkling rivers and broads, rolling fields and meadows, Norfolk is far from flat... popular seaside resorts and harbours - and rich in local colour and dialect.

SKIP STILL BUSY ON LOCAL ROUNDS

Skip on tractor
KEITH SKIPPER ON TRACTOR

FOND founder and first chairman Keith Skipper remains busy on the local entertainment front despite the end of his Press Gang rounds after 25 years.

He leads another tour of local churches this year with productions of All Preachers Great and Small.

Keith is joined by Brian Patrick in the role of the Rev Benjamin Armstrong, Vicar of East Dereham in Victorian times, and Jason Bell as Parson James Woodforde, who had the living at Weston Longville in Georgian times. They will read extracts from their famous Norfolk diaries.

Ian Prettyman, a Methodist lay preacher from Lowestoft, provides musical items while Keith shares favourite yarns from church and chapel and a Bible reading in Norfolk dialect.

FULL DETAILS
All shows are staged on Saturday evenings and start at 7.30pm.

11 September – St Mary Magdalen, Mulbarton (in aid of Flordon Church).
25 September – St Michael, Sutton (near Stalham).
2 October – All Saints, Welborne (near Mattishall).

STOP PRESS!
Keith Skipper will again share the stage with Norfolk legend and Merry Mawkin contributor Sid Kipper at the Pavilion Theatre on Cromer Pier on Saturday 13 November (7.30pm).

Following the success of last year’s Norfolk Heroes, the less-than-dynamic-duo will present Norfolk Nuggets this time as they dig deep into their treasuries of local yarns, reflections and songs. Tickets £11. Box office 01263 512495.
